Montan Wax

Description

Montan Wax is a natural mineral wax extracted from lignite (brown coal). It has a high melting point and contains natural esters, alcohols, and fatty acids. It is widely used as a lubricant, release agent, and dispersant in plastic processing, rubber compounding, and surface treatments due to its excellent thermal resistance and anti-sticking properties.

Mechanism & Features

  • High softening and melting point for thermal stability
  • Excellent mold release and surface gloss
  • Acts as a dispersing aid for pigments and fillers
  • Enhances surface hardness and scratch resistance
  • Reduces friction and sticking during extrusion
